URGENT Nurse Practitioner Opening – Long-Term Contract (1.5 Years)
Our client is seeking an experienced NP to support their onsite corporate health clinic. This is a full-time role requiring strong occupational health, fit-for-duty, and pediatric experience.
Preferred Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Onsite only at the client’s downtown Houston office
Contract & Benefits:
1.5-year full-time contract
10 days PTO
9 additional paid days off aligned with the client’s annual holiday schedule

Role Overview:
Conduct fit-for-duty exams, occupational health assessments, and travel-related vaccinations
Support pediatric vaccination needs for employee dependents
Work alongside the onsite Medical Doctor and Medical Assistant
Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, corporate clinic serving a reputable global oil and gas company
Job Summary:
Contractor, by and through its professional staff, shall provide medical and occupational health services to authorized employees and contractors of Company and Company Group during the office hours of the clinic. The scope of service to be provided shall be in compliance with the scope of services requested by the Company from time to time, which may encompass a range of activities and medical interventions aimed at promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of individuals within the workplace. These services are designed to address work-related health issues, prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, and contribute to a healthy and productive workforce.
Key components of occupational health services to be provided by Contractor include:
Fitness-for-Duty Examinations:
Assessments to determine if an employee is physically and mentally fit to perform specific job duties.
Medical Surveillance Programs:
Ongoing monitoring of employees exposed to specific occupational hazards.
Regular health check-ups to detect and manage early signs of work-related health issues.
Details of the specific evaluations can be found in the CLIENTS Medical Examination Protocols.
Immunizations and Vaccinations:
Administration of job-required vaccines to protect employees from occupational hazards, infectious diseases, or travel-related risks.
First Aid and Emergency Response:
Training and provision of first aid services.
Development of emergency response plans and coordination with internal and external emergency services.
Referral to company resources including Workers Compensation carrier and external referrals as required.
Substance Abuse Programs:
Drug and alcohol testing competencies are expected of the team to support company programs.
Health Promotion and Education:
Educational programs promoting healthy lifestyles and practices among employees.
Awareness campaigns on occupational health and safety.
Work with corporate medical staff to deliver wellness related programming to the workforce.
Contingency Plans:
Support client contingency plans for unexpected events, including natural disasters and public health emergencies
Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and patient evaluations
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and diseases
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient medical history and current condition
Prescribe medications and monitor patient response and effectiveness
Perform medical procedures including wound suturing, vaccinations, and minor surgical procedures
Provide patient counseling on health topics such as family planning, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
Stay current with medical research, clinical guidelines, and advancements in practice
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient medical records
Scheduling
Contractor shall provide for scheduling of appointments, shall maintain staff sufficient to schedule appointments, and shall maintain its own secure software for scheduling.
Reporting and Communication
Contractor shall make periodic reporting of clinic activities to Company including volume and type of services delivered, status of medication and/or supply issues and/or details of other support to Company. Such reporting shall be made in such form and frequency as requested by Company.
Medical Clinic Operations Program
Contractor shall maintain the programs and protocols as required to operate and manage a clinic. The programs include but are not limited to the following:
Qualifications:
Valid medical license in the state of practice
BLS
Strong knowledge of medical procedures, treatments, and medications
Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to accurately interpret test results
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner to patients
Strong problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail
